After Kathy Griffin was on Instagram to inform her followers about her situation, celebrities and fans quickly went to the comments section to wish her a speedy recovery, including Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, who wrote, “Get well soon, Kathy!” with a red heart emoji. At the time of this writing, President Donald Trump has not yet responded to Griffin’s criticism.
As fans of the comedian will know, this isn’t the first time Griffin has publicly beaten Trump – and it probably won’t be the last time. In May 2017, she tweeted a picture of herself wearing a Trump mask that was supposed to look like his severed head. The backlash she received was malicious and she said in various interviews that she almost killed her career. According to NPRAfter the tweet, Griffin “immediately lost his job”. In addition “[f]Federal officials threatened to charge her with a conspiracy to murder the president. ”
According to The New York TimesGriffin didn’t get a job she wanted two years after the incident. However, this clearly did not prevent them from expressing their opinion on how the President dealt with the spread of the corona virus.
We hope that when and when it is tested, Griffin’s coronavirus test results will be negative.
