Letter from Hogwarts not yet received? Well, now we know why: the Harry Potter role-playing game is hoping Hogwarts Legacy says goodbye to 2021 in the waves of fog next year.
And the first game has already leaked: 2021 won’t be the year Hogwarts Legacy will appear, even though we only had the role-playing game in our article on the most promising role-playing games in 2021 listed. Here you can get one sad smiley thought.
Hogwarts Legacy: new release period
According to an update on Twitter, Hogwarts Legacy won’t wave the wand as planned in 2021, but only in 2022. The reason is pretty simple: the developers just need more time to complete the game:
“It’s our priority to create the best possible experience for the magical world of fans, which is why we’ll give the game the time it needs: Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022.“
Studio Portkey Games previously announced the role-playing game for 2021. One can only hope that this won’t trigger an avalanche of new postponements, after all, some nice titles have been announced for 2021. Fans, meanwhile, react with mixed feelings to the announcement, but one opinion prevails: they don’t want another Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco. Which is understandable.
Hogwarts Legacy should finally give you the opportunity to visit Hogwarts yourself: in the full-fledged RPG, you’ll be able to create your own character who can have their own adventure in the School of Witchcraft and Witchcraft. The whole thing also takes place in the 19th century, some time before Harry Potter. You won’t find the boy who lives here.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to appear for PC, PS4, Xbox One as well as next-gen PS5 and Xbox One X consoles.
